Feline Distemper
It is a very common and highly contagious disease that can lead to sudden death in cats. Signs of illness include loss of appetite, weight loss, depression, irritability, apathy and diarrhoea.
The most important aspect of treatment is hygiene. Especially after petting stray cats, make sure to disinfect your hands before petting your own cat. Do not take cats out unless necessary.
Cat moss
It is a contagious fungal infection that can be transmitted to humans, and severe cases of cat moss can lead to other conditions that can be life-threatening. Symptoms of infection include red, swollen, itchy skin, hair loss, flaky skin and frequent itching.
If you have cat moss, you can use fungal suppressants, take vitamin B supplements and in severe cases, take a bath or send your cat to the doctor.
